How Time Flies

Hi all, It’s been months since my last post, not very professional is it !

I’ve not been slacking tho’ .. Over the last 6 months I’ve had quite a few ups and downs happen within the family life but I’m not going to moan on about how hard things can get, I will however mention the positive things that have/are happening.

1. I have been requested to build 3 websites for a local company and am in the final stages of completion :-)

2. I am creating a graphics package for a client which I may carry on with and release as a WSO . Since I started using Photoshop properly I am amazed on how simple making great graphics can be. I’ve owned PS for nearly 2 years but only recently started using it correctly.

3. I am in the process of creating a website totally devoted to brand new internet marketers (newbies) – This will be a complete online A~Z resource centre for people just taking their first steps and then moving up to the more intermediate levels.
It will take up a lot of  my bandwidth but the site will be completely free to all to join. I hope to get my costs reimbursed via affiliate sales and possibly optional donations.  I’ll keep you posted on this venture

4. And finally!!!…A couple of months ago I  finally reopened my Resale Rights For You site, It has had a great start with over 70 new members joining, in case you have never heard of it before i’ll just give you a quick insight…

As a free member you have access to many new download products just released as well as list building reports you can use to increase your own lists (they all come with MRR or PLR). There are 1000′s articles you can do what you want with.. edit & republish to ezines etc giving you more exposure. In the video area there is an ever growing beginner tutorial list as well as a full WordPress section.

Also, you can advertise any of your own products on site, just upload your product details via the online form and have your product displayed to the whole world – All for FREE!. You also have access to the creator section where you are able to create some great looking ebook covers, squeezepages, videosales pages & finally a graphics creator (some sites charge up to $10 per month for this service alone but it’s all available to you for free).. I’m hoping to add a banner creator too once I can secure the rights.

All the above can be accessed as a free member but if you choose to take the really cheap upgrade option you can have all the above including many of the latest premium products I am not allowed to give away – Just one or two downloads will save you more than the upgrade cost. There is a video course download area bringing you the best in full marketing courses (again with MRR) and also entry to my library containing an extra 650+ (and growing) products, these are mainly from 2010 and a few from beyond but are still sold elsewhere for many $$$, lastly, I will be bring the occasional offer on products I am not allowed to add to membership sites but at a price that I guarantee will not be beaten. Talking of guarantees – If your not happy – you get your money back … ‘Simples!’

As you can see, Along with my 50hr a week day job, family commitments etc I’ve not been sat on my laurels twiddling my thumbs lol.  I am determined to succeed in my online ventures and quit the day job in order to be completely self sufficient. My next projects I have lined up include development of products for the android market, this will take a little time but hey!.. It keeps me off the streets :-)

Well I think I’ve gone on long enough so till the next update take care and every success to each and every one of you!

Keith

The Importance of Your Customers

By reading this blog post I am assuming you are a fellow marketer like myself, trying to make a living selling goods or services in this massive superstore called ‘www.The Internet’.

Over the last few years I have learnt so much about the in’s and out’s of online marketing and made many many mistakes, both large and small but all important in attempting to be the best I can at what I do. To me the importance to being a success is not about getting in there first with the next big product launch and mailing the world, his wife & even his dog about it just to get a few bucks into your PayPal account. It’s the trust and respect I can achieve by giving customers what they want not what I want them to have.

Ok! this may slow down my aspirations of being a multi millionaire by the end of the month but hey, I’m in this for the long haul and I genuinely get a great feeling when I know my efforts are rewarded via ethical marketing and trust. I’ll never make a great salesman, I’m too honest for that, I’ve dealt with many sales reps here in the real world and although many are great at what they do there are as many who just want to get the money and run.

The main point of this post is to relay the importance of your customers in every aspect of your day to day running of your online empire..no matter how large or small. You will never achieve your goals without your best assets..Your customers, respect & honesty. Here are a few of things you should do in order to gain any decent level of success online.

If you selling goods or services online then you need customers to make money, It’s obvious. So it should be equally obvious that if you have a satisfied customer then that person will want to do business with you again and the odds are that the person will tell someone else how good you were to do business with.

However, if you treat a customer badly or without respect over one little conflict or request then that person will probably never do business with you again and you can bet that person will tell a few others how bad you are to do business with. Getting bad press is so much easier than achieving good press. So here’s  how to keep your customers…

Respect….
The place to start is to treat all of your customers like gold. Treat them well always! You should give them respect and your personal attention all of the time. There is no exception to this rule. These are the people who give you THEIR money, without them you would not make any money at all in marketing. Always remember this!

This part is crucial, there will be sometimes when you don’t feel like being nice. Some people are not nice or reasonable and border on being total jerks and there’s no doubt you’ll run into more than your fair share of people like this. This includes people who accuse you of cheating them, people who don’t seem to understand what you tell them and the worst kind (IMO) are the people who think you and the rest of the world owe them big time!
It’s your job to be the greatest business owner ever and do everything within reason to try to make every single person happy. However, if it gets to a point where you simply can’t continue helping someone because they are just impossible, then move on. It will happen BUT just make sure you are polite and respectful no matter what the customer does. Do not give them any ammunition to bring your reputation into dispute.

Over-Deliver….
It’s amazing how customer problems drop dramatically when you over-deliver to them. For example, you promise your customers a bonus gift if they buy a specific product. They buy the product and you give them three bonus gifts. That’s over-delivering.
Always do it. By doing this simple step you will be building unbelievable customer loyalty and you’ll also cut-down on most of your customer problems before they even happen.

Follow-Up….
Following-up with your customers is a great marketing move and a ‘must’ to retain customers, yet most people just don’t do it.
All it involves is a quick email and nothing more. A few days after someone buys something from you just send them a brief email thanking them for the sale, if everything is okay and if they have any questions for you.
Remind them that you are there for them and then say another thanks and end the email. Do not try to sell them anything else, not at this time. You can send another email a week later, but make sure you first send one email that’s just a “thank you”.

So those are the key tips to keeping your customer base. In short just remember these 3 things:

1…You need to always be nice to your customers
2… You should always over-deliver with all your products
3… Always follow-up on your sales.

If you do these three things, you’ll find that your customers will remain loyal and just as importantly, they will let others know just how good you really are. I aim to be around for many years and if I can gain a great reputation like many other marketers.. John Thornhill, Sharleen Raven, Adeel & Bobby to name just a few then I will be ecstatic.

Here ends the lesson :-)

A Great Experience!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to a seminar held by BusinessLink, A government backed initiative to improve your business skills.
This seminar was all about Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). The two speakers at the event are at the top of their game in this field as they run a multi million pound advertising company whose clients include many top known household name companies. They specialise in getting these companies to the front of search engines without the use of PPC programs wherever possible.

During this seminar they explained the importance and nessessity of doing every step needed in making your website google spider friendly. It was explained and shown in a step by step fashion on how to get your website a page ranking of 3 or above (any pagerank of over 3 is highly regarded by Google) The pagerank is how Google rates and places websites – nothing to do with ppc or whereabouts on Google search pages a website appears. As an example did you know that having a pagerank of 1 can bring you more visitors than being at No 1 on a search page.
*Note: Googles pagerank is 8

We were also taught all about Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) showing how having your SEO done correctly can produce a traffic increase, even just 1% can mean a dramatic increase in your profits.

Overall, everything needed doing  is easy to do yourself but you must keep on top of it in order to maximise the exposure.

I thought I would share this with you as these seminars and others are held all over the UK so if you wish to attend any then you can get the details from your local BusinessLink or go to http://www.businesslink.gov.uk and find your nearest office.

I am going to write a report on everything that was covered as a lot of myths were dispelled and the knowledge gained by this seminar has really opened my eyes regarding SEO and the serious ability to build up your online presence.

I hope you have found this information useful as I feel I am slowly learning about the holy grail of marketing.

P.S. Even though this is primarily for the UK it still worth checking out the BusinessLink site as there is loads of free info worth reading.

9 Points To Improve Your SEO

Optimizing web pages for search engines does not mean creating special pages for search engines. Optimizing web pages for search engines is often the same as optimizing web pages for web surfers.

If you do it correctly, your website will be attractive to both web surfers and search engine spiders. The following list shows nine factors that can improve the usability of your website as well as your search engine rankings.

1. You should have fast loading web pages:  Usability: Web surfers don’t want to wait for web pages. Search engine optimization: Search engines can index your web pages more easily.
2. Your web pages should be easy to read:  Usability: It’s easier for web surfers to read your web pages. Search engine optimization: Near-white text on a white background and tiny text is considered spam by most search engines.
3. The contents of your web pages should be clearly arranged:  Usability: Clear headings, paragraphs and bullet lists make your web pages easier to read. Search engine optimization: Clear headings, paragraphs and bullet lists make it easier for search engines to find the topic of your web pages.
4. Your web page images should use the IMG ALT attribute:  Usability: Web surfers with images turned off and visually impaired visitors will be able to see the content of your images.  Search engine optimization: Search engines cannot index the content of your images but they can index the content of the IMG ALT attribute.
5. You should use custom 404 not found error pages:  Usability: If your 404 not found page contains links to other pages of your website or a search form then people might remain on your website.  Search engine optimization: Proper 404 error pages make sure that search engines index the right pages of your website.
6. Your website should be easy to navigate:  Usability: Clear and concise navigation links that are easy to find help your website visitors to find content on your site.  Search engine optimization: Clear and concise navigation links that contain your keywords make it easy for search engines to index all of your web pages.
7. Important content is above the fold:  Usability: Web surfers with small computer screens can quickly see what your web page is about.  Search engine optimization: The sooner your important content appears in the HTML code of your web pages, the more likely it is that it will be indexed by search engines.
8. Your web page titles are explanatory:  Usability: If web surfers bookmark your web pages, a clear web page title will help them to find it again.  Search engine optimization: The web page title is one of the most important SEO elements. It should contain your keywords and it should look attractive so that web surfers click on it when they see your web page title in the search results.
9. The URLs of your web pages are meaningful and self-explanatory:  Usability: It’s much easier to remember a web page like www.example.com/support than a web page like www.example.com/123123-werwc.php?2342234Search engine optimization: If your URLs contain your keywords, this can have a positive effect on your search engine rankings. Dynamic URLs with many variables can lead to problems with search engine spiders.

There are many more factors that influence the position of your website in Google’s search results. If you want an in-depth analysis of elements of your web page, check your website with IBP’s Top 10 Optimizer.
