As you will have guessed I’m not the most prolific blog post updaterer (is that a real word??) but when I do, you know it’s worth reading about. This post IS an affiliate product I am proud to promote because it’s one of those that does exactly as it says on the ‘can’. If you sell digital products online you are no doubt aware of the two most popular affiliate networks, ClickBank and PayDotCom.

While both of these are great and I highly recommend each of them, recently I came across a brand new service that really caught my attention. In the Internet Marketing world being able to market directly to people through email is huge in determining how well a product launch goes. Obviously the way to market directly to people is to have a large list. However, to market to even more people, it’s a good idea to Joint Venture or JV with other Internet Marketers who have huge lists. In fact, getting good JVs can be your key to success.

Joint Venture actually refers to someone else agreeing to market one of your products to their list in exchange for a commission on the sales that are made. The commissions are usually a high percentage of the sale since the person who has the list is really doing (or has already done) most of the work for the sale. Also, usually anyone you want to get as a JV partner is an established Internet Marketer with a great list and therefore would command a high percentage.

It’s always very difficult for any new IMer to get good JVs. You really need to build-up a good reputation in order to even get the more successful IMers to even consider being a JV with you. However, one way you can get more JVs is by hooking-up with a mentor. A mentor is a built-in JV partner for you (usually) and any good mentor will usually be able to get his/her friends (who usually have large lists too) to consider being a JV for you too.
Of course, you can go about finding JVs on your own. The best place to do this is on IM forums. If you can become a positive presence on a forum then you can begin making friends that way. Over time you will develop good relationships with people who will be great JV partners. To help with this process you’ll have to be sure to make quality posts and you’ll also want to consider going out of your way to help others on the board. 2. Checklists: People love having things simplified, and checklists are perfect for accomplishing this. For example, if you offer custom WordPress theme designs, you could put together a checklist that guides them through the installation process of adding a new theme to their blog.

3. Worksheet: These differ from checklists because they’re more interactive, and basically help you brainstorm through something. For instance, if you provide services or information to business owners, you could put together a worksheet that will help them define who their target market is by asking a series of questions.

4. Software: You can hire someone to create basic software for you inexpensively, or you can purchase PLR versions of software. The idea is to help your subscribers automate some kind of process related to your niche. For example, software that allows them to answer a series of questions about their target market, and then it spits out the results.

5. Resources: Help your subscribers save their time by putting together a list of your “million dollar resources”. Who are your writers, designers, what websites do you frequent for information, etc?

6. Discounts/Coupons: Everyone loves saving money, and if they can save money on your products and services by signing up for your list, all the better. This also helps you get people on your list who plan to buy from you, and if they buy once, they’re more apt to buy again.

7. Templates: These can be actual website or wordpress templates, or simply a compilation of ready-made materials, such as forms or design plans.

8. Planner Sheets: There’s nothing like a plan to motivate you into action. Put together a monthly planning sheet to help your subscribers take action on something.

9. Free Product: If you have an information product, give away a full version copy to subscribers, or take part of it and condense it into a smaller version.

10. Interviews: Find a well-known expert in your niche and interview them, then provide the audio and transcript to those who subscribe to your mailing list. A written interview also works well for this.
